2022 Volkswagen Taos | Cincinnati, OH
Meet the newest vehicle from Volkswagen: the 2022 Taos. A compact SUV with room for five passengers, the Taos delivers versatile capabilities, eye-catching design, innovative and intelligent technologies, and an interior that you and your family will love.
Powertrain and performance
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos gets its power from a 1.5-liter turbo engine that produces 158 horsepower to go along with 184 lb-ft of torque. You can pair this engine with either an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or a seven-speed DSG® dual-clutch automatic with available 4MOTION® all-wheel drive.
Four available drive modes help you fine-tune your Taos to road conditions in Cincinnati, Ohio — and to your own preferences: Snow Road, On-Road Mode, Off-Road Mode, and Off-Road Custom Mode. Wherever you’re going, you can get there efficiently. The Taos achieves up to 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway with FWD.* AWD models get 25 city mpg and 32 highway mpg.*
A sculpted hood complete with a three-bar grille and LED headlights gives the 2022 Taos a confident and athletic look. A strong line running across the side adds character and forward-driving purpose. Roof rails come standard, preparing the Taos for adventures in and beyond Cincinnati.
Four wheel options let you ride in the style that suits you best. Choose among 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels for the S trim, 18-inch machined alloy wheels or 18-inch black wheels for SE, or 19-inch wheels for SEL. Eight available paint colors and a black molded bumper with silver accents bring even more style to the Taos.
With 99.5 cubic feet of passenger space, the Taos has plenty of room for up to five riders. Up to 65.9 cubic feet of cargo space lets you pack for a weekend getaway or for your family’s busy daily schedule. You’ll also find 40.1 inches of legroom in the front and 37.9 inches in the back, numbers you wouldn’t expect out of a small, nimble SUV.
An available panoramic sunroof lets in the light for everyone to enjoy. Optional ventilated leather seats provide comfort for every season, and a leatherette-wrapped and heated multi-function steering wheel adds a dash of luxury. You can also opt for a 12-volt outlet to power certain devices on the go.
The Taos was designed with your family’s safety in mind. All models come with six airbags, a rearview camera, an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The Taos also boasts six standard safety-enhancing systems, including Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution, Electronic Stability Control, and the Intelligent Crash Response System.
The available IQ.DRIVE® advanced driver assistance technology uses semi-automated capabilities to keep you centered in your lane on the highway or to keep you aware of potential hazards in city driving. Features include Travel Assist, Front Assist, Active Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit provides a high-resolution, easy-to-customize screen with easy customization. That way, you can dictate what information you see when you’re behind the wheel of a 2022 Taos. Meanwhile, a touch-screen display helps you access audio and smartphone features on the go with App-Connect, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™. There’s also the Volkswagen Car-Net® app, which gives you access to Family Guardian Alerts, DriveView, parking information, a VW Car-Net Wi-Fi® hotspot, and more.
